Who Needs Desktops Anymore when you have MSI GT73VR 7RF Titan Pro.
The Titan Pro definitely deserves its name with its titanic performance.
With the release of the GTX 10 series and Kaby Lake, performance of notebooks have taken a great leap, getting extremely close to desktop level. MSI is not one to sit back and has once again released a new notebook that fits the needs of the modern gamer, while also giving it VR ready capability.
The notebook houses an Intel seventh generation Intel Core i7-7820HK processor and 32GB of RAM and when paired together with the GTX 1080, the MSI GT73VR 6RF Titan Pro is a monster of a machine with the size to match its massive performance. The GTX 1080 is definitely enough for all gaming purposes and is still one of the most powerful cards on the market and it is housed inside the Titan Pro, pushing out the power needed for stable frame rates. Games played on the Titan Pro played smoothly even at 4K resolutions, but certain games might need some tweaking to its graphics setting to get the best frames possible.
For its storage, the GT73VR supports M.2 SSDs for blazing fast performance, which was apparent with the notebook booting up within seconds. The SSD comes with a large capacity of 512GB, more than enough for Windows files and other important software and still keeping some leftover space for games that you wish to have reduced loading times. Then there’s also a 1TB HDD for you store downloads or files that require larger amounts of spaces, like your Steam games.
With all that power under the hood, there’s definitely going to be a lot of heat. MSI solves that problem with their Cooler Boost Titan technology. The coolers do their jobs in keeping the components cool, but they could get a tad loud when running at really high intensities. You can manage the temperatures slightly by using MSI’s SHIFT to switch the notebook into lower performance profiles when you don’t need all that raw power
